"Saya" trailer to screen this evening at the "4th Annual Women of Power Conference"!(versión en español sometido antes abajo)

The trailer for "We of the Saya" will be screening at the "4th Annual Women of Power Conference" this evening to raise awareness about the documentary, as well as donations to be able to begin post-production.

The Women of Power Conference was collaboratively created by CCCADI and GALCI to encourage an active dialogue amongst Afro-Descendant women leaders and activists regarding the many issues that women face in today's world. Marfa Inofuentes, one of the principal subjects of the film, will participate in the Conference to discuss her experiences with the Afro-Bolivian struggle for political representation.

Se presenta el trailer de "Nosotros los de la Saya" en “The 4th Annual Women of Power Conference” (la Cuarta Anual Conferencia de Mujeres de Poder) para crear el conocimiento sobre el documental y reunir donativos para poder comenzar la post-producción.

La Conferencia de Mujeres de Poder fue creada en colaboración por CCCADI y GALCI para estimular un diálogo activo entre los líderes mujeres Afro-Descendientes y activistas con respecto a los varios temas que encara mujeres en el mundo actual. Marfa Inofuentes, una participante en el documental, tomará parte en la Cuarta Anual Conferencia de Mujeres de Poder para hablar sobre sus experiencias con la lucha afro-boliviana para la representación política.

"We of the Saya" to be featured tomorrow on WBAI Radio's "Wake Up Call" on 99.5 FM!

If you live the New York Tri-State area, "We of the Saya" will be featured in a segment on WBAI Radio's "Wake Up Call" on 99.5 FM! Tune in tomorrow morning 6-7am to listen to "Saya" protagonist Marfa Inofuentes and director Aumoya B. discuss the documentary as well as the Afro-Bolivian Movement and the status of Bolivia's political climate.
